Thomas Atwood Easton (born on 17 July 1944) is a professor at Thomas College in Waterville, Maine and a science fiction critic.
Easton graduated from the University of Chicago in 1971 with a doctorate in theoretical biology, and went on to produce work on scientific and futuristic issues that have appeared in many magazines.
Since 1979 Easton has been a book reviewer for Analog, producing reviews on a monthly basis. He is also a member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America.
A common theme among Easton’s works of fiction is one of genetic engineering and it’s potentials and implications; an idea he explores in his Organic Future novels, including Sparrowhawk (1990), Greenhouse (1991), Woodsman (1992), Tower of the Gods (1993), and Seeds of Destiny (1994).
Easton often appears at Boston-area science fiction conventions. [edit]
