George Frank Worts (March 1892 – February 1967) was born in Toledo, Ohio, USA and also writes under the name Loring Brent.
He is best known for Absolute Quiet, Where the Worst Begins, Madness of Youth and The Phantom President which in 1932 became a film directed by Norman Taurog starring George M Cohan, Claudette Colbert and Jimmy Durante.
Aside from comedy and drama Worts also wrote many crime fiction novels including Overboard, The Crime Circus Murder Case and The Blue Lacquer Box.
Worts was first married to Janet M Walter and then Flora Berriman, with whom he had three children. He died at the age of 74 in Hawaii, USA. [edit]
